    EMAG's grainless cutting technology: fast, precise and reliable

    The grainless cutting technology developed by EMAG provides new possibilities for hard cutting. Lineless cutting can achieve extremely short cycle times and excellent surface quality. This means that the surface quality that could only be achieved by a special grinding process (plunge grinding) can now also be achieved by non-grain cutting, for example when machining a non-grain seal seat.

     

    The advantages of scraping include extremely short cycle time (up to 10 times faster than grinding or ordinary cutting) (corner radius 0.8mm, feed 0.15mm compared with 1.5mm, surface roughness of Rz6.3).
