01  Global manufacturing PMI was 48.9% in August

Data released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing on September 6 showed that the global manufacturing PMI was 48.9% in August 2024, the same as last month, and has been below 50% for five consecutive months.

 

By region, in August, Asia's manufacturing PMI declined slightly for two consecutive months, but the index was still above 50%; Europe's manufacturing and Americas manufacturing PMIs both rose slightly from the previous month, with the index below 50%; Africa's manufacturing PMI fell significantly from the previous month, with the index falling below 50%.

 

02  2024 "Industrial Mother Machine +" Hundreds of Industries and Tens of Thousands of Enterprises Production and Demand Matching Event Held in Changzhou

On September 6, the 2024 "Industrial Mother Machine +" Hundreds of Industries and Tens of Thousands of Enterprises Production and Demand Matching Deployment Mobilization and Launch Ceremony was held in Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province.

 

The theme of this event is "Innovative products of industrial machine tools enter hundreds of industries and thousands of enterprises", including the tour of innovative achievements, the release of production and demand lists, reports from academicians and experts, the signing of cooperation projects, and key enterprise surveys. It aims to deploy and mobilize all parties to continue to carry out a series of activities for precise matching of production and demand, promote the promotion and application of innovative products of industrial machine tools, and promote the integrated development of enterprises in the industrial machine tool industry chain. More than 400 representatives from government departments, industry organizations, key enterprises, universities, institutes, and financial institutions participated in the event.

04  The final of the 8th National Workers' Vocational Skills Competition opened in Shaanxi

The opening ceremony of the final of the 2024 National Industry Vocational Skills Competition-the 8th National Workers' Vocational Skills Competition was held at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center in Shaanxi Province on September 11. 32 teams and 546 contestants from various provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps participated in the final

 

With the theme of "Craftsmanship Builds Dreams, Technology Creates the Future", this competition has six job types: welders, CNC machine tool installers, network and information security administrators, artificial intelligence trainers, auto repairers (in the direction of smart connected new energy vehicles) and online delivery workers.
